    Roaring into the wild world of the animal kingdom has never been so paw-sitively entertaining! This cute hand print activity is a crafty adventure and a roar-some way to introduce your little ones to the wonders of wildlife. As a small hand transforms into a majestic mane, your child will go on a sensory journey and connect with the animal kingdom in an active way. This hands-on approach sparks creativity, nurtures fine motor skills, and is perfect for practicing hand-eye coordination, all essential for early writing development. Working on this craft together is a wonderful way to encourage storytelling about lions and their habitats, fostering language skills and expanding your child's vocabulary. So, let those little paws leave their mark on the savanna, where the wild meets the whimsical and literacy skills growl to life! Materials: – Orange and yellow cardstock – Black marker – Googly eyes – Glue Directions: 1. Using a piece of yellow card stock, folded in half, trace your child's hand with their pinky finger along the fold. Cut along the trace lines. 2. Cut out a yellow circle for the lion's head. 3. Cut strips of yellow and orange and glue them to the back of the head around the edge to form the lion's mane. 4. Use a black marker to draw a mouth, nose, and whiskers. 5. Attach the lion's head over the thumb of the hand print card. 6. Glue three strips of card stock to the back of the lion's body to make the tail. 7. Write a message inside the card!

Ingredients: – Crackers – Pretzel sticks – Pepperoni slices – Red grapes – Cream cheese – Cheese slices Instructions: 1. For the penguin tracks, cut a pretzel stick into three small pieces and arrange them, fanning out from the bottom center. Place on a cracker with cream cheese. 2. To make the duckling track, cut a small piece of cheese into a diamond shape as shown and place on a cracker. 3. Using pepperoni slices, cut four small circles and one large semi-circle to form a puppy paw print. Place on a cracker with cheese. 4. Cut a grape into half lengthwise, trim some off the sides, and place side by side on a cracker with cream cheese. This creates a fawn track!
    Clouds can be a bit dramatic. They collect water until they’re full of it, and then they cry it all out onto our unsuspecting heads. It’s a beautiful process to watch, but it’s kind of hard to comprehensively watch a rainstorm unless you’re very far away. But now, you can make a rainstorm in your very own jar! As you add the water little by little to your cloud, think about all the liquid building up inside that needs to go somewhere. Thanks to gravity, that “somewhere” is down to the bottom of the jar. Materials: – A clear jar or glass – Water – Shaving cream – Blue food coloring – A dropper or small spoon – Optional: A tray or shallow container to catch any spills Directions: 1. Fill the container about three-quarters full with water. 2. Spray shaving cream on the water's surface to create a "cloud" layer. 3. In a small bowl, mix a few drops of blue food coloring with water to create "rain." 4. Using a dropper, carefully drop the "rain" onto the surface of the shaving cream cloud. 4. Watch as the blue-colored water "rains" down from the shaving cream cloud into the water below. 5. Try varying the amount of water dropped onto the shaving cream cloud. How does the intensity of the "rain" change?

Paint the paper plate silver to give it an astronaut look! 2. Using scissors, cut lines on each side for the mask's edges to fit the glasses into. 3. Cut out a triangle in the center for the nose and holes for the eyes. 4. Slide the solar eclipse glasses through the holes on the sides of the mask. 5.     Twinkle Twinkle little star, I wonder just how big you are? In this STEAM experiment, we’re seeing how shapes can maintain their symmetry, while also growing in size. To do that, we’re going to pour water in the middle of a star-shaped toothpick corral, and watch as the water pushes against the boundaries to form a much larger shape! Materials: 5 toothpicks Small plate A small bowl of water Syringe or dropper Instructions: 1. Bend each toothpick until they break in half but are still connected. This part might need a little grown-up magic! 2. Keeping the toothpicks folded in half, arrange them in the shape of a star with the broken ends touching in the middle and the pointed ends touching on the outside. 3.
